Young people care about climate change more than anyone else. So we are partnering with them to plant and care for trees where they live. To date we have inspired 500 young people to learn about trees, then take them home and help them grow. Together with elders in the community, they are caring for over 3,000 trees across three villages.

News of our initiative has grown and we are starting a collaboration with the Ugandan forestry department and key village leaders to scale the possibilities in this work. We’ve also started a nursery to grow valuable—yet expensive—indigenous fruit trees like jackfruit and mango.
